Where does that phrase come from anyway?
The Dogs are really building momentum at the right time of the season. Heading into next weekend's grand final qualifier qualifier against Parramatta, the Dogs will be looking to record their fourth straight loss.
Dogs players are already talking their chances up. Lock O'Reni Maitua said the Bulldogs are full of confidence after their great defeat at the hands of the Cowboys. "We can beat anyone on our day, especially Melbourne." What the hell? Every team can beat every team on their day, but it hasn't been the Dogs' day for quite a while.
My prediction: pain.
The game is Saturday night at Homebush, and I am strongly considering going. So strongly, in fact, that I shall soil myself presently.

I hope you didn't soil yourself. It's just not worth it, considering modern bathrooms are so elegant and functional. - cw
Yes it certainly was a great defeat, probably the best in their current defeated run.
I expect it will be a huge game against the Eels. Could easily go for 2 or 3 hours.
The Dogs are certainly not without hope. Law of averages says they will win soon.
And they have apparently been paying great attention to obeying the Law of Average lately!
The winning play is likely to be one of the following:
Hayne tries to prevent a 40/20 but only succeeds in passing straight to Tonga who scores under the posts...
or
Tim Smith will kick, then about 10 seconds later Sonny Bill & Willie will come from opposite sides at the same time to clobber him high with forearms (in fact, four arms). All 3 will be laid out unconscious, creating an ideal diversion for Shifty to work a neat play with the General.
My tips: Hazem back to top form, and Dogs to win by 2 (inadvertently prolonging your suffering!)
OMF
Young modern bathroom.
Yes, if all goes to plan this Saturday night the Dogs should be able to pull out one of their better losses of the year.
I have booked my tickets and amazingly my better three fifths has agreed to come, in the event that I cannot unload the tickets onto an unsuspecting vagabond.
An interesting media battle is developing between both camps, each striving for underdog status. Nathan Hindmarsh has said "I personally guarantee the Bulldogs will beat us this Saturday night" but not to be outdone, Bulldogs captain Andrew Ryan laughed off Hindmarsh's suggestion. "I've had a quiet word with the boys and confirmed we won't be taking the field against the Eels. I'd like to see Parra lose now."
