Dokic should have won

I propose that she *wanted* to win, but played tennis riddled with unforced errors. Something appeared to be holding her back...it was Heyman.

I was pretty diappointed at her form, but these things happen. - cw

On a day adjacent to our most patriotic of moments, I thought her loss was un-Australian.

Having said that, we all new the 'fairytale' had to end and Safina was just the meatier man on the night.

I feel Jelena's loss raises an interesting question. When does a person's performance qualify as 'fairytale' calibre? MV

To qualify as fairytale, they have to fall out of favour with the media, then publicly repent, rejoin the country, play badly, then play well, then fall back in favour again.
